Take advantage of the warm weather on one of thousands of hiking trails tailored to children and alpinists alike. On the hottest days, take a swim at our beach right on property, with our private dock and roped-in swimming area. When the sun sets and temperatures drop, light up the bonfire or jump in the seven person hot tub on the lower deck. If hiking trails are too difficult or complicated for your larger groups, take a trip to High Falls Gorge for some guided exploration of some of the best waterfalls the park has to offer. Don’t forget to check out the Wild Center, also known as the Adirondack Natural History Museum, 10 minutes away in Tupper Lake. As of summer 2020, the Cliffside Coaster at Mt. Hoevenberg is open, and is known to be the largest mountainside coaster in the U.S.!

Camp Eastwood has been the ultimate vacation destination experience for our family of 15 ranging in age 6 months to 88 years for the past 2 years. After searching for a vacation site a few years ago Camp Eastwood was the choice that offered space for a large group, luxury accommodations along with the beauty and serenity of the Adirondacks. A short drive to Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, as well as Lake Placid offered a wide range of shopping and dining experiences. Family members enjoyed hiking trails, waterfront property allowed for boat rides, and fishing. When we arrived at Camp Eastwood in 2022, the owner Dan Papes was there to greet us. Our family is looking forward to returning in 2023 and adding to the wonderful lifetime memories.
Decorated in a classic Adirondack style, Camp Eastwood accommodates up to 18 people. The great room is the heart of the house where friends and family can gather to cook, dine, or warm up by the gas fireplace. The massive natural wood deck and attached screened in room offer spectacular lake views and comfortable outdoor seating. On the lower level, you’ll find a play room containing a pool table, foosball table, and a home theater system. Continue down the hall and you’ll have access to a home gym and steam room.

This is our family home (we have a very large family!) on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake. We have been travelling to the Adirondacks for 2 generations and love them and this wonderful lake. We enjoy sharing it with great families when we are not using it, and make every effort we can to have our guest experience the same priceless moments we have when we are there.
We will be available at all waking hours to help you, but we also have a pre-arrival package we send you loaded with information, and we have a notebook at the house that contains information about house operations, hikes in the area, restaurants, and more.
