Take advantage of the warm weather on one of thousands of hiking trails tailored to children and alpinists alike. On the hottest days, take a swim at our beach right on property, with our private dock and roped-in swimming area. When the sun sets and temperatures drop, light up the bonfire or jump in the seven person hot tub on the lower deck. If hiking trails are too difficult or complicated for your larger groups, take a trip to High Falls Gorge for some guided exploration of some of the best waterfalls the park has to offer. Don’t forget to check out the Wild Center, also known as the Adirondack Natural History Museum, 10 minutes away in Tupper Lake. As of summer 2020, the Cliffside Coaster at Mt. Hoevenberg is open, and is known to be the largest mountainside coaster in the U.S.!
Planning a corporate retreat? We can accommodate your group here, with plenty of local places to do team building activities, or just take your team away for a few days of rest and relaxation, while brainstorming in the clean mountain air.

Camp Eastwood has been the ultimate vacation destination experience for our family of 15 ranging in age 6 months to 88 years for the past 2 years. After searching for a vacation site a few years ago Camp Eastwood was the choice that offered space for a large group, luxury accommodations along with the beauty and serenity of the Adirondacks. A short drive to Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, as well as Lake Placid offered a wide range of shopping and dining experiences. Family members enjoyed hiking trails, waterfront property allowed for boat rides, and fishing. When we arrived at Camp Eastwood in 2022, the owner Dan Papes was there to greet us. Our family is looking forward to returning in 2023 and adding to the wonderful lifetime memories.
Thank God for good weather in June! Thanks to Dan and Nancy for great communication skills. Cook your own meals, plenty of fridge space. Tupper Lake is close for forgotten items, alcohol, ice cream, food… We rented the pontoon boat for 3 days. The fire pit was used almost every night, & wood can be purchased locally. Bring marshmallows! The dock is nice & we took out the canoe & kayaks. We used the screened in porch for Texas holdem! We hiked, played pool, used the hot tub & weight room & hardly used the tv as we were too busy.
It’s hard to beat the descriptions, pictures and other reviews. It was a wonderful spot in a wonderful geographic location. The home feels like a home- is well stocked, very clean and the additional rental of the boat just icing on the cake. Our group, family of 11 including grandchildren, children and grandparents had plenty of space and so much to do. With all the superlatives about the property, it would be remiss not to give kudos to the communication and information provided by the owners Dan/Nancy. Enjoy the wonderful lake vacation in the Adirondacks at camp Eastwood. You won’t be sorry.
We had the most amazing time at Camp Eastwood! The location was perfect! The house was immaculate and Dan was incredibly accommodating. If you’re looking for a place to relax away from home this is the place! From the hot tub, to the pool table, to the foosball table, to the entertainment system there is something for everyone to enjoy! We loved it so much we stayed an extra day!! We will be back! Thanks for the memories Camp Eastwood!!
Our extended family of 18 nestled in perfectly with space for everyone. Loved the screen porch the best—spent almost as much time there as I did in the hot tub. Excellent kitchen and dining room setup to accommodate the whole group with lots of rooms for busy sous chefs doing prep work. We settled right in for a very chilled-out week.
We had a wonderful time at Camp Eastwood. The location is exceptional and the property is outstanding. The house is very spacious and well appointed with all the amenities we needed to spend four relaxing nights there (we barely left the house). The owner and property manager are very responsive and professional. It is a pleasure to interact with them.
We had a wonderful time. The house was super clean, very comfortable, roomy and had awesome views. We used the kayaks and canoe, hiked, and visited nearby sites. We would definitely come back!
Another great end of the season retreat at Camp Eastwood! Dan was able to quickly accommodate our request to stay an extra day when we just weren’t ready to leave yet. The hot tub, pool table, foosball table, and entertainment area provided a lot of fun for all involved. Will be back again!
Camp Eastwood raises the bar in vacation rentals. The home is truly magnificent with furnishings seen in Architectual Digest.
Within an hour upon arrival my blood pressure was lowered by 20% due to its location and solitude. Kayaking every morning at 6:30 around Corey Island with loons being my only company. 11 adults and 7 children never felt cramped in the spacious house. The pontoon boat was definitely appreciated by all. The camp fires at night was a great hit to recap the days events. Will definitely visit again in the future in the fall or winter
Decorated in a classic Adirondack style, Camp Eastwood accommodates up to 18 people. The great room is the heart of the house where friends and family can gather to cook, dine, or warm up by the gas fireplace. The massive natural wood deck and attached screened in room offer spectacular lake views and comfortable outdoor seating. On the lower level, you’ll find a play room containing a pool table, foosball table, and a home theater system. Continue down the hall and you’ll have access to a home gym and steam room.
Great family Hikes Within 10 Minutes of Camp Eastwood:
This is our family home (we have a very large family!) on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake. We have been travelling to the Adirondacks for 2 generations and love them and this wonderful lake. We enjoy sharing it with great families when we are not using it, and make every effort we can to have our guest experience the same priceless moments we have when we are there.
We will be available at all waking hours to help you, but we also have a pre-arrival package we send you loaded with information, and we have a notebook at the house that contains information about house operations, hikes in the area, restaurants, and more.
